Bio: Maddy was born on January 24th 1987 in Moscow, Russia. At a young age she moved with her parents to New Zealand where she had a relatively happy childhood. In her early teens however she was an abuse victim; the person was trialled but acquitted.
After finishing high school, Maddy went on to study in the States where she finally got to meet up with her pen-pal and best friend of many years, Lexie Clarke. After graduating, the pair travelled the world for a year before getting a post at LVPD as CSIs, where they worked for two years. Maddy grew very close to her colleagues and upon Warrick's death requested to be transferred to a different PD. Catherine and Grissom got her and Lexie moved to Miami.
Maddy is fluent in three languages: Russian, German and English; she also knows a bit of French and Spanish. Her grand-parents currently live in Canada, as does her mum; her younger sister works as a forensic anthropologist in Britain. Maddy owns a blue-tongued-skink called Chyan with Lexie, who she shares her apartment with. In her spare time she does ballroom dancing and fencing, and can play the guitar. She's bi but is very casual about it; she doesn't blatantly publicise the fact but neither does she hide it. Her true loves include Rammstein, pirates and writing.
