Mac was always stubborn and he's a very dedicated worker. One of his coworkers once said that it "takes a bit to crack that tough-guy exterior" and that "he can be so damn stubborn one minute and the next...just a big comfort." His job is really the only thing he has left to work for in life, so when it comes to doing his job, he's not going to give up easily on the case. "Stubborn" and "Strong-willed" came up several times in his case reviews when he worked with the NYPD as NYC Crime Lab Supervisor.

Saying that he is stubborn, he doesn't like people going around and falsely accusing him. A time when this happened has never left Mac's mind and it was part of the reason he left New York and transferred to Miami.

He recently found out he has a sister and the two have a extremely strong bond with each other. Mac is the only one Dellilah, his sister, will allow to call her "Dellie." Occasionally, that is. Being the older brother, Mac finds himself able to joke around easily with his sister and the two often tease each other and joke around often.


Mac Taylor is originally from Chicago, Illinois and formerly worked as a Recon Marine before he was honorably discharged. After moving out of the Marines, Mac got a job offer to join the NYPD. At the time, he was still with his former wife, Claire Conrad. He accepted the job offer and he and Claire moved to New York.

9/11/2001 was a day Mac never forgot and was-and still is-hard on him. He lost Claire in the attacks and her body still not has been recovered.

After Clay Dobson, a serial killer, jumped off the roof of the building as Mac was trying to arrest him, Mac faced a Internal Affairs investigation headed by Chief Of Detectives Brigham Sinclair and Deputy Inspector Stanton Gerrard. Although Mac was cleared of any involvement in Dobson's death, Mac, Stan, and Sinclair never fully recovered from it and were still somewhat hostile towards each other. It was this main event, coupled with the pain of the memories of 9/11 and several other experiences working in the NYPD that Mac decided a transfer to the Miami CSI team was a good idea and he acted on what he thought was best for him. His sister moved with him from their home in Manhattan, New York to their new homes in Miami, Florida. Mac, when troubled by his past, often turns to his sister for someone to talk to that he knows won't judge him based on his thoughts about what happened and how he handles the memories today.

oh, finally someone new It's been a while since I welcomed a totally new roleplayer to this forum so Welcome to Miami, I hope we will get along well and... as you should know, you will be placed in the Rookie group for about 2 weeks, just to see about your activity and skills and your ability to follow the rules. I don't mean to sound rude, it's just that past events made me more careful as to who we let in.

Haha,I figured that!Thanks for the welcome,Natalia.About my activety,there are some weeks when I won't be able to be on and roleplay,and it all has to do with my schedule.Especially through the summer because of all the activetys I'll have and I really hope this doesn't mess anything.I honestly was a little nervous joining up,I read through all the rules and everything I could about joining that I could before I did. Oh well, I myself have like only 2 months of real activity on any sites I might be found on, due to my studies, so don't worry about it, we totally understand.

I know, the rules look like a lot, but sadly I found it necessary to make them that strict... and I tend to keep them guarded very well.

I know the feeling of that,and I completley understand. I know a couple people, unfortunatley, that just know how to get on people's nerves.
