Back inside, Cam was still napping, unaware that Thomas was outside, waiting for Sean to arrive. She had stopped tossing around at this time and was now laying on her side, her left hand under the pillow that she had her head on. Cam was still dreaming at this time, dreaming that her and Sean were having an argument. Seconds later, she woke up from the dream, panting hard.

Cam got up and walked to the bathroom, stopping the sink. She turned the water on and splashed some of it onto her face, closing her eyes as the cool water trickled down her cheeks, off her chin and back into the sink. Cam opened her eyes and looked at herself, listening to the sound of running water as she stood there. With out looking, Cam reached over and shut the water off, then picked up the hand towel and whipped her face before going back to the bed and laying down again.

It was getting dark outside and the first street lights magically burned up in the already dim streets. Thomas, leaned back in the black leather seat of his Viper, kept his eyes open. He was looking around the parking lot, hoping to spot Sean coming back, or leaving. But until now nothing had happened. A heavy sigh left his lips while he picked up the cup of coke that he had ordered with his dinner. It was almost empty now and the carbon dioxide was almost completely vanished by now. It was now way too sweet for Tom's taste.

Crinkling his nose, he set the now empty cup down and looked around the parking lot again. He was just about look the other way, when a car turned up and stopped close to the apartment building.  
"Finally..." Thomas thought, picking up the binoculars from the passenger seat and took a closer look.
"About time you showed up." Thomas quietly said to himself. A tiny smile appeared on his lips for a matter of seconds, before his face got serious again.


After the car was parked close to the building, Sean Watkins got out of the vehicle and slowly walked up to the door, a smug grin on his face. He had been out, closing a few good deals on the drugs he sold. He was happy, he made a good living today. Of course he didn't keep that kind of money on his bank, although he told Cameron so. In reality he had his money stashed away in a safe house that nobody knew of.

Putting his usual face for Cam back on, he took the elevator to the floor their apartment was on. Within minutes he stood in front of the door, the key in his hand. At first, Cam was just a facade. He needed a new home, a place to stay and lay low for a while. But the longer he knew the pretty redhead, he actually fell in love with her. She was a nice change for once.
Sean entered the apartment and knew instantly that Cameron was home. A small smile came to his face as he slowly closed the door. It wasn't all an act, some things were real.
"Hey babe. I'm home." he called out in his usual tender voice, not knowing how much things had changed in just a matter of time. "Cam? Where are you?"

Hearing Sean's voice, Cam got up and walked out to him. "I'm over here Sean" she called out to him while walking out of the room. "How was your day?" she asked, keeping her cool after what she had seen earlier when she came home. There was no need for her to tip her hand about what she saw him doing and for him to know that she was aware of what he did. Cam walked up and took Sean's hand and kissed him, though she felt sick for doing so.

Cam pulled back and looked at Sean after doing that. "Anything happen today?" she asked, not knowing what would happen in the next few moments as she watched him. control yourself Cam, don't lose your head and make him upset she said to herself while standing there in her lounge wear.

Outside the apartment building, hidden from direct view, Thomas knew that now came an even longer period of waiting. This was probably groing to be a very long and boring night. Or maybe not so boring as he thought?
Leaning back in the leather seat, Tom rested his head against the headrest for a moment and closed his eyes. He just wanted a moment of rest and since Sean just entered the building, he figured there wasn't anything to miss. But he could only close his eyes for a few moments, then he focused on his task at hand again. He was wondering what Sean and Cameron were doing right now and how the beautiful redhead was holding up with the task she was given. He didn't know that Sean's people's skills weren't as dull as remembered.


Sean smiled a little, wrapping his arms around the pretty woman. He held her close while the kiss lasted, but he noticed that something was different about her. She seemed a little reluctant in the way she kissed him, almost as if she was scared or something like that. He could tell that something was up, but as of now, he had no idea what it was.
"What's up, babe? Somethin' bothering you?" Sean asked, his voice honestly concerned. He had no idea that she had seen him dealing drugs, although he did think that he'd seen her car coming, but by the time he looked again, it wasn't there. So he figured he had been wrong.

In the light of how she behaved right now, Sean left her question unanswered, not even noticing that they were being asked in a different way as well. He didn't know how things would soon turn out and that he would have a meeting with an old nemsis again.

Cam watched Sean as he asked her that. "No, nothing is bothering me Sean." she said to him while standing there."Everything is okay" she added while watching him. "Can I get you anything?, wine, beer, anything?" Cam asked as she walked into the kitchen of their apartment. She was trying her best to hide how she was feeling about him at the moment, not knowing that it would all unravel sooner then she thought and she would be forced to defend herself.

Once in the kitchen, Cam looked at the wine bottle she had opened earlier, then back at Sean while leaning on the counter as she stood here. Stay calm Cam, he doesn't know that you saw him peddling that filth of his she said to herself as she watched Sean. If she was honest with herself, she wanted to scream at him and throw him out, but she knew that would get her no were fast. Discipline Cam, discipline she added while resting her hands on the counter.

Sean watched Cameron for a little while, his steel grey eyes fixed on her face. He was already suspicious. Something was up here, he could tell, after all, he had been living with Cameron long enough and knew her intimately enough to know when something wasn't quite right. Although he couldn't point a finger, obviously, he did think that Cam was awfully nervous or restless around him, like she was hiding something. And that just made him even more curious. The fact that she left for the kitchen, when she usually was staying close to him much longer, was something that bothered Sean. He may be a drug dealer, but he wasn't stupid.
"Nah, I'm good." Sean replied eventually, slowly following her to the kitchen. He stopped in the door and leaned against the door frame, crossing his legs and just watched her, fingers tugged in the pockets of his dark blue jeans. He looked pretty harmless like that, no sign that he could kill someone if he had to. Not that he ever killed someone before. But he might be capable of that.

Silently watching his girlfriend, Sean pondered what it could be that had her acting so weird today. If she had problems at work? Maybe her boss was putting too much pressure on her with something. Or maybe there was just one big event coming up, that she had to accompany him to and she wasn't quite sure about it? Or maybe something totally different...?
"You can tell me, y'know." he finally said in a quiet, yet caring tone.

"I know" Cam replied as she watched Sean. "I saw a drug deal go down on my way home from the mayor's office." she said to him while standing there, her voice strong again as she said that. Cam just hoped that didn't make Sean nervous and force him to start asking questions. After saying that, Cam walked over to the counter and started to make dinner for them. "Anything happen to you today?" she asked while getting what she needed for dinner. She didn't know that Thomas was outside the apartment and that she would soon be forced to defend herself.

For the moment, Cam focused on dinner, hoping that nothing would happen, though she didn't know how wrong she would be later on the day.

Sean smiled a little to himself, watching Cameron. His expression soon formed into a frown, when he heard her tell him about a drug deal she saw. Though she did say it was on the way home, he had the feeling that he had been right earlier today and that she had actually seen him dealing drugs to his long-time customer. But then he shrugged it off. For now. Now wasn't the time to ask more questions about it. He would casually ask her over dinner. Although he did feel a little bit nervous all of a sudden.

He ran a hand through his auburn-coloured hair, then pushed himself off the door frame and walked over to Cameron, leaning against the kitchen counter, while she got everything she needed for their dinner. "Anything I can help you with?" he asked her, eager to help her with dinner, just like he always was.


Outside the apartment building, still in his car, Thomas was preparing himself for a long night out. He wasn't even certain that anything would happen tonight, but he had to keep his eyes open. He made a promise to Cameron, to keep her under survaillence, while he was investigating Sean. Tom wanted to find something to bust Sean with. He wanted to see him behind bars, where he belonged. Something that he failed to accomplish the first time he was investigating him. And it was bugging Thomas that he couldn't nail him the first time around.

"Not gonna happen again, my friend."

Cam looked over when Sean asked that, not seeing the frown on his face just now.  "Can you get the sauce jar out for me then set the table." she said to him in reply as she looked back to him.  There was a slight smile on Cam's face as she said that, hiding the fact that she was angered with Sean about what she saw him do.  This better be the last time you help me with this she said to herself while she continued to work.  Cam didn't let it show, but she wanted Sean out of the apartment, however she knew that she couldn't do that now as she knew that Sean would realize what she had seen him do and kill her.  Keep your cool Cam she said to herself as she continued to work, hearing Sean behind her as she worked.  Cam brushed a stray strand of her red hair out of her face as she stood at the counter, gently tapping her foot at the same time.

Sean, with a small smile on his face, did what she asked of him. This was the way he'd always been with Cam, well, with any woman that he's been with. He may be a drug dealer and have done some bad things in his life, but he knew how to treat a woman right. He'd never lay a hand on a female, not matter what. That was something for people worse than he was. Of course, if it helped him he wouldn't mind taking a woman hostage, but still, he would never physically harm a woman.  

While he was setting the jar down on the counter, Sean didn't know that not too long from now, he'd have to use the woman he loved as leverage for his own freedom. He would hate to do it, but he wouldn't see any other way of dealing with the situation that he would get into. Still, he would show Cameron that he wasn't all bad, that he just made a wrong career choice a long time ago and there wasn't any other way out for him anymore. He was in way too deep to just vanish and get out. There were people out there who would rather kill him than just let him walk.
“Here you go, love.” he said, like he did so many times before.

Cam smiled and took the jar from Sean when he handed it over to her. "Thank you love" she said to him in reply. While she used the sauce, Cam had no clue that Sean would use her as leverage to get away. At the moment, the image of what she saw when coming home was still in her mind. For now, Cam continued to cook, unaware of the coming events or what would happen to her and Sean.

A while later, Cam had the meal on the table and was pouring the drinks for her and Sean.

About two hours passed without anything happening and Thomas was starting to get bored. He began to think that maybe this was going to be a waste of time, but then he noticed a dark figure heading towards the building that Cameron lived in. It was a female, that much he could make out from where he was. She was just a little bit taller than Cameron was, judging by Thomas' memory of meeting her this afternoon.

It was took dark for him to recognise her by her looks, but the way the woman moved seemed familiar to Thomas. He took his binoculars and watched. He was curious to see what would happen now.


Inside they were done with eating and Sean was sitting on the couch, watching the news on TV. It didn't take long and he heard his cell phone beep. He took it out of his pocket and opened the text he received. The corner of his mouth twisted upward for a second before he replied to the text and got off the couch, looking at Cameron.
"Somethin' just came up, babe..." she said to her. "I gotta head out for a while... Don't wait for me, it'll probably get late."

Cam looked over when Sean said that to her. "Okay Sean" she replied while looking over to him. She had a feeling that he was going to be meeting up with one of drug dealing pals or someone else. Cam went about cleaning up in the kitchen after she said that to Sean, not knowing that Thomas was outside watching them. After finishing up in the kitchen, Cam went back to the bedroom and got her stuff ready for the next day. As she did, Cam sighed a little. She was tired of how Sean treated her. Granted he never raised his hand to her, but he was always out late at night and slept most of the day.

When ever she would ask where he had been, he would only say that he was with friends. It wasn't until now that it became all to clear for her why Sean acted the way he did when around her......that along with the odd things he told her to do like checking for wires when she got home or to not stand directly in front of the mail box when checking it.
