He gently tightened his grasp around her waist. "For nothing," he whispered in her ear.

She bit her lip, still smiling as her mind drew a blank as to what replied. Madison didn't always find herself at a loss of words, but sometimes in the presence of handsome company it happened.

Soon enough and sooner than he wanted, the song was over. He released her and slowly kissed her hand, smiling at the same time and his eyes never leaving hers.

She gave a small curtsey. "Thank you for the dance. Dancing gentlemen are so hard to find..."

Albert chuckled a bit as he kept holding her hand and lead her back to the table. "Well, what can I say? I like to think that this is my talent," he smiled.

She gave a cheeky smile. "I hope I'll get to see some of your other talents too..." she said, sitting down and eyeing him over her drink.

Albert smirked at that. So, she was ready to play his game. Which was just an expression, because it was not a game for him. Definetly not a game...

The smile never left her face as her leg brushed up against his again. "Penny for your thoughts...?" she said.

Albert chuckled a bit with a shrug. "Just thinking of this night and how fine I feel with such great company," he smirked, as he took another sip of wine.

The waiter was back and placed their food in front of them. As he sashayed back to the kitchen, Madison replied, "Good to know that you think I'm great company."

Albert smiled at her. "Only if you think the same of me," he joked, taking another sip of wine.

She smiled. "Well, let me think. You're a great dancer, you're interesting to talk to, and you have a great smile. So yeah, I think you're awesome company."

Albert chuckled lightly and playfully raised an eyebrow. "You think I have a nice smile? That's...good to know," he said, in a low voice.

She smiled, taking a delicate bite from her dinner. She was enjoying how this evening was turning out. She hadn't expected to have such sexy and charming company for tonight and it was definitely a pleasant way to top off her day.

He smiled once again, before he started eating as well. It was a nice evening honestly, and he didn't want it to end any soon.

"I'd laugh if they declared a bomb scare right here tonight," Maddy said, her mind having wandered back to a previous conversation as she ate. She looked down at her dress. "I'm not dressed right to deal with it tonight."
Inside she winced, wondering whether the mention of the dead topic was a lame thing to do.

Albert chuckled a bit at that. "Yeah, I know," he said. "I've got the wrong shoes tonight. These are the pretty shoes, not the smart ones. I always have the smart ones when it comes to bombs," he joked.

She laughed, then looked down at his shoes. "And they say that only females have expensive taste in shoes. They are indeed pretty shoes. And so since you're wearing nice ones instead of the smart ones, that means we're definitely safe from a bomb," she said with a grin.

He chuckled and nodded. "We're definetly safe. Bombs tend to explode only when I have my other shoes on," he said, as he sipped from his wine again. "And actually, I tend to be attentive with what I wear."

"You should wear these shoes more often then. I know the bomb squad will love you for it," she joked. She smiled hearing that he was attentive about the clothes he wore. "That's good."

He smiled at her once again. "So, how are things going at work? Still working like crazy and not having any sleep?" he asked. He knew how detectives were, they had always too much to work, yet they did it anyway. 'Cause they loved the playing field.

She nodded. "We're all kinda pulling double shifts. Like the murders and stuff have been pretty minimal but a good friend and colleague of mine got shot, so we're running around like crazy trying to catch the jerk." She gave a small smile. "So coffee and energy drinks are currently my new best friends..."

"Oh, sorry to hear that," he said and gently touched her hand. "You know, if you ever need some help, I'll be there."

"Thank you," she replied softly. "It means a lot," she added as she looked into his brown eyes, feeling pulled into them somehow. She bit the inside of her lip; she wanted to kiss him but didn't want to be the first one to do it.

Albert smiled just so slightly as he looked into her gorgeous eyes. One of his hands remained over hers, while the other one brushed some hair off her face. He slowly moved closer, staring down at her lips. They were so tempting. He gently pressed his lips against hers, as he closed his eyes. His hand went up to her cheek, while the other one gently touched the side of her neck.
