"Ojalá." Kiki said quietly.

[ojalá = hopefully]

James watched her, knowing that it would be a challenge to find Ana

"Detective?" Kiki piped up again, getting up from the pavement.

"Yes?" James asked

"Tenga cuidado, es peligroso jugar con ellos." she said to him, meaning it.

[Tenga cuidado = be careful. Es peligroso jugar con ellos = it's dangerous to mess with them]

James nodded in reply, "I know it is" he replied

Kiki nodded and then sighed. "Why Ana?"

"I'm not sure" James replied, "But we will find out" he added

Kiki nodded slowly. "Are you taking me to the station now, or can I go home?"

"It will be best if you go to the station." James replied

Kiki sighed, but nodded. "Okay."

James nodded a bit, then wived an officer over to them

Kiki watched as the officer walked over to them. She was worried about her best friend, knowing very well what the Mala Noche was capable of.
"Aguantar...." Kiki said quietly to her kidnapped friend.

Meanwhile Ana was still trying to free herself.

[aguantar = hold on]

the female officer took Kiki to her car, then drove her to the station, James watched them leave, then walked back over to Eric

at the same time, one of the kidnappers walked over to the room that Ana was in

Ana heard him coming and stopped trying to free herself, just sat still, pretending to be staring at the wall oposite her.

the thug walked in and looked at her

Ana turned her head towards him and glared. "What?" she asked with attitute, as usual. She was angry, big time.

the thug just smiled a bit, "Silly little girl" he said to her, "You should have known better then to mess with us."

"I didn't mess with you, ¡burro!" Ana shot back at him, glaring.

[burro = jackass]

the guy walked over and slapped her for saying that, then replaced her gag

Ana bit her tounge when he hit her, so she wouldn't cry out in pain. She was too tough to do that. And too proud. So when he replaced the gag, she glared at him.

the guy glared back at her, "We will see how long your tough girl act lasts." he said to Ana before leaving

"For as long as you keep me here and even if I die!" she shouted in her mind, watching that guy leave.

the guy closed the door and locked it

Ana sighed through her nose and then worked again on trying to get her hands free. She didn't even know why she was here. She hadn't pissed anyone off. Least not that she knew of, but obviously she did mess with someone, whoever they were, though, Ana had a pretty good idea.
