It was Ava's day off and, as always, she decided that she couldn't just stay inside and do nothing all day long. It was just not her style. So, she put her running clothes on and headed to the park. It was chilly, but nice; there were not many people there yet, as it was pretty early in the morning. Ava started jogging, her ponytail moving up and down.

It was early morning and Victor was thankful that today he was working the night shift. This morning he'd decided to go for a jog instead of heading to the gym like he normally did. Chucking on his university t-shirt and some track pants, he headed out, beginning to jog, noticing a somewhat familiar figure in the distance.

Ava continued with her jogging. She hadn't had the chance to do that in a pretty long time, because she had been shot and undergone surgery. She had gone back to work, but she hadn't run and chased suspects; she had done the easy stuff, like paperwork and interrogating suspects. She hated paperwork, but she knew that she had to keep herself from too big physical effort. But now, she was all healed and she felt good being able to do again what she liked.

Victor couldn't help but grin, shaking his head slightly when he saw who it was. Ava Smith, one of his patients. The one who he'd kissed and since then been too much of a chicken to contact. "Miss Smith," he greeted her with a smirk, jogging up to her. "I thought I told you no running for a while," he teased.

Ava slightly turned her head when she heard her name being called. When she saw who it was, she swallowed and her heart skipped a beat. Only because she saw him! She shook the thoughts away, putting on a small smile. "Dr.Hunt," she greeted back. "I know, but it's been a while since the surgery..." she said, raising her shoulders just a bit.

"Stubborn, that's what you are," he teased, looking her over and smirking slightly. Somehow she even managed to pull jogging wear off and make it look hot. "You can't just relax, can you? You've always got to keep active and ignore what the pro's tell you," he joked.

Ava smiled a bit looking at him. He looked so damn hot in anything, that she couldn't even focus on the fact that she shouldn't think that about her doctor. "I am not stubborn," she said, rolling her eyes. "I haven't done anything until today. I've done paperwork and nothing else. I didn't ignore you."

Victor gave a nod, thinking it over. "Well, that's good. Although I can fully see why you might ignore orders. Paperwork can drive even the sanest person up the wall. I admire you for surviving," he told her with a grin.

Ava smiled a bit, nodding. "It was hard. I admire myself too," she said, looking ahead of her. She swallowed hard; she couldn't look at him anymore. He looked so good, he was so hot, and that was not right. He was able to make her blush everytime, and it was not right.

Victor gave a chuckle. "Well, usually the modest response is 'thank you', but your own works too..." He smirked, noticing she looked away from him. "What's the matter, Ms Smith? Am I too much of a sight for sore eyes?" he teased, not taking his eyes off her.

"Yes, but who told you that I was modest?" she smirked.

However, when he started with his lines again, she raised an eyebrow, turning her eyes to him again. Why, why did he have to be so gorgeous and flawless? "Excuse me?" she asked.

Victor grinned. "Modesty is like innocence in a court of law: you're modest until proven otherwise," he teased. "You keep looking away from me. Am I really that painful to look at?"

Ava kept looking at him as he spoke. Her heart started to beat faster as she caught his gorgeous eyes. "I-I don't..." she stuttered. "I'm not looking away, I just..." she said, her cheeks starting to redden all of the sudden.

Victor smirked, winking at her as she blushed. "Ooh wow, I like this power of making you speechless," he taunted sweetly. "I know I'm good-looking and all, but this is just wow."

Ava chuckled slightly, shaking her head. "I am not speechless," she said, stopping for a bit. "And you are not that good-looking," she added, this time looking at him. However, that wink made her weak in the knees, but she struggled hard not to show that.

"Ok, well you're not speechless now,"he teased. "And of course I am. Otherwise you wouldn't have kissed me back," he added, evilly reminding her of that moment since he knew she'd blush.

Ava swallowed hard and once again, turned her eyes away from him. What a moment he had found to bring that in discussion. Her cheeks were probably even redder now. She crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head. "Shut up..." was all she was able to say.

He smirked at her blush. "Naww, someone's blushing," he teased, in a slightly babying voice. He enjoyed winding her up, enjoyed seeing how she'd react. "That's adorable," he added in a normal voice.

Ava took a deep breath and turned her eyes back to him. That was not normal; they were not in the hospital anymore, but he was still her doctor and she was still his patient. "Dr.Hunt, this is highly inappropriate," she said, raising an eyebrow.

Victor gave a snort, dismissing her comment with a wave. "We're not at the hospital any more, so dunno what you're so worried about, Ava. Technically this is all just a random twist of either fate or coincidence and therfore we should be free to discuss whatever we want..."

Ava looked at him, swallowing hard again. First of all, he hadn't called her 'Miss Smith' anymore, but 'Ava'. Plus, it was what he had told her.
"You are still my surgeon, and I am just one of your patients," she muttered, taking a step closer.

Victor gave a shrug. "Well, technically, yes. But that'll be that way right until one of us croaks. And I'm not sure about you, but I'm planning on being around for a good long while still. So if that's your only argument, it's not a very good one..."

Ava's lips were parted and she didn't even know what to say. Yes, that was her only argument and yes, it was not a very good one. She just looked at him for another moment, before starting to jog again, moving away from him. That was weird, like, really weird, but he was able to make her remain speechless and not think when he looked into her eyes.

When she didn't reply and instead stated joggin off, he chased after her, jogging easily to keep up. "Oh come on, don't tell me you have no other retorts. Your sharp tongue must have something," he teased.

Ava took a deep breath and slightly rolled her eyes as he chased after her. "I...have my bad moments, okay?" she admitted, looking ahead of her and not at him. She didn't want to blush like crazy again or anything similar.
