"I really don't like it when people like you think your better then others and that the rules don't apply to you." James said to her

"Lo que sea." Ana said and shrugged, turning around again.

[Lo que sea = whatever]

James watched her, "That additude is what gets people in trouble."

Ana looked back over her shoulder. "Guess what: I don't care." she said.

"Then don't come to me when you end up in the hospital after getting attacked or worse." James replied before walking off

"I won't!" Ana called after him and walked away, too. Her friends had taken off and Ana was angry about that and she was pissed off by that cop, not knowing that they would have another run in.

James watched her leave, then turned and walked away

a few weeks later, James was walking to the crime lab when he saw Ana, "here we go again" he said to himself

Ana was walking down the way, past the crime lab. She had been taken in as a witness to a robbery, only a block away, was now done with her testimony. However, the guy she identified as the robber of an elderly woman didn't like the fact that Ana had done the right thing to report him and talk to the cops. Even worse, since Ana knew him.
Since he hadn't been caught on the scene, he was now stalking her, trying to teach her a lesson.

James did know of the guy who was following her as he walked up to the building, "Hello" he said to Ana when he was close enough

Ana had seen James and wasn't too happy to see him, but she also didn't care about any trouble in that moment.
"Hi." she said after he greeted her.

James nodded again in reply, then continued to walk on, not knowing that the man Ana saw rob the woman was watching her

Ana walked a little further, when suddenly the guy who was watching her, came out behind a car and grabbed her from behind.
"Cállate o te arrepentirás!" he hissed into Ana's ear, but after she had let out a small scream of shock.

[Cállate o te arrepentirás! = Shut up or you'll regret it!]

hearing the scream, James turned and drew down on the guy, "LET HER GO!" he shouted, the other officers around him did the same thing

"Puta!" the guy hissed at Ana, pushing her away hard, causing Ana to trip, loose her balance and then fall.
"Hijo de puta! Espero que se vaya al infierno!" Ana shouted back at the guy, glaring at him as he was taken down.

[puta = bitch, hijo de puto = SOB, Espero que se vaya al infierno! = I hope you go to hell.]

James got Ana and took her into the building while the officers secured the suspect

Ana sighed a bit, having to go back inside.
"Why are you taking me back in here?" she asked.

"Its for your protection until the guy who attacked you is in jail." James said to her

Ana sighed a little. "Fine." she said. "Hope they put that bastard where he belongs."

"Let us worry about him" James replied as he took her inside

"Love to. I have more important things on my mind than that scumbag." Ana replied and went quiet.

James nodded in reply, once inside, he got Ana to his office and told her to stay there

Ana merely nodded, then walked over to the window and looked out of it, over the city. The sun was shining again and it was warm and she had better things on her mind than staying here, though it was nice inside this office.

at the same time, James went to check on the prisoner that was brought in, hoping to get some answers from him

Ana stayed in the office, as she was told.
Meanwhile Carlos Fernandez was waiting to be questioned.

James walked up to the room that Carlos was in, then opened the door and entered
