Maddy felt like she should say some, felt like she should move. After all, Patrick was her friend. But something in his eyes held her there. It wasn't even as if she'd had that much to drink,especially since she usually prided herself that she could hold down her drinks with no effects and no problem. But right now...

He kept looking into her eyes like a magic spell had made him frozen, his mind dazzled...

Madison blinked, as if noticing for the first time just how gorgeous his eyes were. Then she leaned in slowly, as if to kiss him, then instead placed a kiss on his cheek but still quite close to his lips and smiled somewhat shyly.

His heart nearly sprung out of his chest as Madison kissed him. The kiss still lingered on his skin. Patrick smiled still looking deep into her gorgeous eyes. But yet he couldn't make a move, as if frozen to spot, unable to break the magic moment...

Maddy reached up to gently touch his cheek, the one she hadn't kissed. He was just standing there, frozen. She wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not, but at least he was smiling slightly. "Patrick..." she murmured, still smiling shyly at him.

"Yes Madison?" he said whispering, smile never leaving. He reached his hand to her face and gently caressed her cheek.
Then he did something unexpected. Patrick kissed her on lips....

She'd hoped that this spell or whatever it was would be broken when she called out to him, but it didn't quite work. Her eyes widened slightly as she felt his lips against hers, surprised, but to the surprise of herself she kissed him back gently.

He felt hot suddenly. Tingling feeling crept up his stomach. Maybe butterflies everyone claims, though technically it wasn't possible.
Patrick was surprised Maddy kissed him back. He was almost sure she'd push him away. But he liked this feeling.
It made him feel like he was somewhere else, beach or meadow, watching butterflies dance in the air or waves crashing against shore.

Maddy's cheeks were growing bright red as she kissed him, her mind forgetting everyone else in the room, forgetting about everything but him.
She knew she shouldn't be doing this, but she liked him and she was enjoying it. After a little while she pulled apart, needing air, but her lips remained almost touching his. She smiled looking at him, blushing.

Patrick smiled at Maddy when they pulled apart. Not only she needed air.
He didn't mind to continue with this but somebody around, probably Ryan, started coughing.
Suddenly the thought of everyone watching made him blush.

Maddy looked away from Patrick's hypnotising eyes when she heard the cough and looked around at the small group. Something similar, but not quite like, embarrasment flitted through her eyes. But she didn't regret the kiss. Not at all. "You're adorable when you blush," she told him with a smile.

Patrick let out a light chuckle. "You too." he replied finding his spot on couch.
He noticed how everyone else had departed the room or at least moved to other side and pretended inspecting Ryan's music collection.

Oh how Jane was sure they will use this event against them...

Maddy was suddenly very shy at this whole thing. It wouldn't have mattered if no one had witnessed it at the time, but since her friends had seen the whole show, she thought it would be awkward.
She cleared her throat. "So, um...are we gonna finish playing, or what?" she asked, looking over at her friends.

Jane glanced around shyly. Nobody really showed anything. Poker faces, he snorted inwardly.

To hide the sudden awkwardness moment Patrick busied himself with next bottle...

Mich suddenly jumped inside the main room from kitchen, pulling Ryan along by his shirt.

She was grinning mischievously.
"Sure Maddy, right after this big plushie stops his coughing-up-a-lung ritual. And when blue-birds will care to unglue their eyes from that CD-DVD shelf Wolfie keeps his treasures." she answered throwing Ryan back on couch, shoving a bottle of special cough syrup in his hands.

Maddy decided to follow Jane's example and went to get herself another bottle. She took a long drink then grinned at Mich and Ryan. "Great. And why's he coughing-up-a-lung?" She wasn't sure if it was from the shock of seeing his two friends kiss or what.
She looked over at Jane for a moment, giving a slight grin, then her eyes turned to Alexa and Sam. She really hoped that Alexa wouldn't be mad or hurt at her; after all she knew how much Ali liked Jane.

Mich threw her hand in the air indifferent manner. "Eh. Some aftereffects from fighting lung cancer while ago. But he was doing that ever since crash. Broken ribs and punctured lung. Poor thing is still trying to hide his little problems from H. Told him that it can end bad but that thick-headed-nutjob is even more stubborn than donkey." she explained the whole story. She hoped that the story won't make Maddy sad.
"Anyways, don't mind his coughing. You'll get used to that." she added looking over at 'blue-heads' who still were going through film collection.

"Hey! Yo! Tweeties at the bookshelf! Time to stop drooling." girl called out at twins. "Having parrot can be easier than watch those two." Mich grumbled playfully.

Alexa glared back at Mich. "Yo! Pinkie! We're coming." she called back, while Sam only rolled her eyes, putting back disks in Ryan's order.

Inwardly girl was still grinning. She didn't mind what had happened moments ago and seeing Jane's blush and smile warmed her heart. He really needed this. Maybe he won't want to return to Cali and will stay here being happy.
He was totally changed from what she'd heard he used to be.
Widower or not, he was moving on.

A huge smile crept up on her face making her look silly. But it doesn't matter at all.

Maddy looked sympathetically at Ryan, then grinned when Michi said that he was stubbourn. Yep, sounded just like the Ryan she knew. "Oh, our Wolfe's a stubbourn fighter. He'll fight anything, so I'm not surprised he pulled through," she said gently, looking at her male friend.

She looked over at Alexa as she came over, relieved to see a big smile on the girl's face. She couldn't help but grin herself. At least things weren't going to be awkward between them, she thought with relief.

"Stubborn-butt!" Sam called out at Ryan, swinging a dvd in front of the man. "You told me you don't have this movie. Now I find it here." she announced plopping down on couch.

"Yeah, Maddy, this bone-bag is terribly stubborn and annoying soul." Sam told patting Ryan on head.

Ryan glared at his annoying sister, then Sam.

"You guys are incredible. I wonder what else gonna happen today. Maybe I still have that 'torture' room in basement."

Of course he was just kidding. But some really believed he's got that room. Maybe it was Delko or Walter, who once pulled that inside joke around lab's gossip vein.

Normally Madison's mind wouldn't go where it did, but tonight she couldn't help it. "Torture room?" she asked. "Like dominatrix style?" she teased her friend, with a slight chuckle. "Cos that would be interesting." She was sure that Ryan would have nothing of the sort, least of all in his basement. But she enjoyed teasing him, and his reactions were always fun.

"Actually the basement is pretty cool. You'd like." Patrick piped in with mischievous grin.

He didn't manage to hide the slightly naughty thoughts sneaking into his mind.

Maddy turned to look at him, a naughty grin on her face. "Really? You'll have to show it to me then," she replied, her mind racing to places it shouldn't.

Patrick grinned mischievously. "Oh sure. I sneaked in there. I plan changing my previous living plans." he said starting to think over the whole attic thing. "The boy has made it really cozy there." Jane added trying not to let his mind wander into those areas.
