"Ouch..." Nat said out of reflex, not really thinking about it when she did. But then she nodded.
"Well, then we should take Ry to see a doctor, just to make sure.... or you take him and I'll go back to finding your sister and you two come back when you're done?"

"Nah. I'm fine. Nothing that some painkillers and ice can't fix." Ryan tried to get away easiest way. He still was a little dizzy and his head felt like exploding but he knew after a while it'll be less noticeable. And with the help of meds and ice he'll be fine.

But still it bugged him that he forgot about his sister's metal wrist.

"Ryan, this is your head we're talking about... you really should get it checked, just in case." Nat said with concern in her voice. It wasn't a secret that she cared about her co-workers, just as they did about her. And this wasn't something to take that easy. If he wanted to get out the easy way, he had to do better than that.

Ryan growled. He didn't want any more fuss around him. It was enough already with him being in a wheelchair good time ago and he hated people fussing around him all the time. He still was in a regular check-up list at hospital and that already made him feel humiliating.

But he knew he must do that to avoid previous scenarious and mistakes.
"Ok. But only because you said that. And we can use our ME's assistance for that matter." Ryan suggested

Sam sighed in relief. It's never been that easy to make Ryan visit doctor.
Then it must've been very painful, Sam thought watching Ryan with the eye like eagle.
He showed signs of headache and some dizziness, as he was slightly wincing and blinking bit too much. Maybe a blurred vision.
And the bruise on his temple and cheek looked terrifying at least. Even for her, seen everything in her job, that seemed bit too much. Or she was becoming weak.

"Yeah Ryan. You don't look that springy to jump all around. I'm glad you still have some brain that didn't get too bashed up." Sam told, putting up her biggest grin while Ryan groaned at her cheerful grin.

Natalia smiled a little as she watched them both. In fact, she was just glad that Ryan gave in to her wanting to make sure that he was alright. It wasn't that she didn't trust his judgement, but with all that he had been through, she was just worried, and sometimes it may be overly, but better than don't worry at all, in her book.
"Well and I know you don't like people fussing about you, but it's better to have people around who fuss and care than have people around who don't care at all." she told him in truth, her little smile never leaving.

"Ahh yes, that little thing. I know, I know. My reminder of that little truth just fled but I got your message. And I'm surrending freely." Ryan said with a grin.
"But I still remember how good that feels." he added with a knowing look thrown at Sam, who immediately knew he was talking about Elli, who fussed around him much.
He just lost his fussing like along her.

Natalia nodded to him, but otherwise she stayed more in the back as the two friends were exchanging looks. She couldn't surely tell what this look was about, but she had a good guess.

"So better lets get moving unless this bag of lazy bones wants to fall asleep" Sam said putting a hand over Ryan's mouth before he protests.

"Hey hey! Watch your mouth or next time I'll eat your cookies." Ryan swacked Sam's hand off his mouth with an sheepish grin on his face.
There was more of a flirty look here and there

That wasn't lost on Natalia who hid a small grin as she stood up again and waited for Ryan and Sam.

Ryan followed Nat casting an occasional glance at Sam who almost blushed.

"So, let's see if we can find Alexa." Nat said as she walked into the lab again.

"Yeah. That we should" Sam agreed

Nat nodded and sat on a stool and opened a file Michelle had been going through earlier.

Ryan returned back to lab with a large ice bag on his face.

"Ok. How can I help you ladies?" he sitting down and tilting his head

"Well since it was you having the feeling that Alexa is somewhere in Miami... any idea where to start?" Nat asked him as he returned, looking up from the file she was reading.

For a second he thought about what he'd sensed some time ago and what he'd felt.
"Well last time it happened I was at beach but then I think I was drunk or something. But the other times I sensed the feeling was when we were investigating several cases in Glades. Once I really thought I saw Alexa when went to skating rink in Jacksonville with Mich. She though told me I've hit my head too hard. But I know it was her because that second before my head hit the ice I looked her in the eyes and I swear it was Alexa." Ryan said still being sure of what he's seen

Natalia nodded in reply, thinking about what he told her.
"You think you could meet with our sketch guy and make a pic of what she looked like when you saw her?" she said.

"Oh even better. I could check with Missing Persons DB. I don't have any picture of hers but Sam might still have one around." Ryan suggested. Sam had left the room moment ago and he wondered if she still carried one around. They hadn't talked much about explosion or what happened to her after. Just like himself, Sam was very reserved when it came to emotions and bad memories. Especially past. Knowing their own claws and wild relationship they stayed on friendly relations but not like they used to.
But there was this nagging feeling, deep within, that data base might be helpful. Or they should check out local police stations and hospitals?

Sam walked back in the lab with two bottles of water and passed one to Ryan, who was still holding ice pack to his face, "Hey, ghost-face, take this and drink it all." she teased, putting the bottle of meds next to water bottle, receiving stern glance from Ryan.

"So, how far we are?" Sam asked ignoring Ryan's stabbing stare

"Sounds like a good idea. But it's been a few years and Alexa could have changed a bit, so maybe that sketch guy could be useful if Missing Person's doesn't give us anything. I'll check local hospitals... maybe she's been admittted to a hospital recently or not so recently." Nat replied, after thinking about his idea for a moment. Maybe they were lucky would find someting sooner rather than later. Nat hoped so, she really did, for both Ryan's and Sam's sake.

"Awesome, ghost-face, generating ideas already. At least we know your brains still there." Sam told poking Ryan gently in side receiving a pout. She smirked softly slapping his face a bit.

"Actually good idea, Ryan here, got. She still should've been in DB. FBI's MPU back in NYC searched for her all the time I was in hospital. Then I left not looking back. Maybe Jack still has an active case." Sam suggested.

Ryan just stared at Sam trying not to jump at her.

Though she was right. He had to be happy his head was still in one piece. It still hurt and slight nauseating sensation disturbed him a bit.
But the cold water, painkillers and ice pack did magic.

At least his thinking speed was slowly increasing.

Natalia nodded a little as she listened to Sam. "Well, then let's see if I can find an open case and then we'll see if anyone had been submitted to the hospital that matches your sis."
